Rock climbing
The granite slopes of the Tiras Mountains are a burgeoning destination for free climbing in Namibia. As a key location for the Mountain Club of South Africa (MCSA), Ranch Koiimasis offers several established routes that showcase the raw beauty of our rocky terrain. Our peaks provide the perfect granite canvas for your next climb.

Horse riding & Trails
From 1h excursions to 8-day expeditions, ride through the heart of the Tiras Mountain Conservancy, where 80,000 hectares of rocky hills and open savannah offer the perfect terrain to explore Namibia’s unique flora and fauna.
For experienced riders seeking a true frontier experience, join our high-energy Cattle Round-Up and work alongside our team to move herds across the vast plains.

Hiking
We offer several marked trails starting directly from the ranch:

The Ostrich Hike (1–2 hours) is an easy, relaxing stroll starting at the Farmhouse.

The Plateau Hike (1.5 hours) departs from the Lodge Restaurant and offers a moderate climb with panoramic ranch views.

For a deeper challenge, the Namib-View Hike (3–4 hours) starts at the Lodge Restaurant and leads to spectacular vistas of the desert horizon.
